Eucalyptus Radiata

Eucalyptus Radiata

The prime ingredient in Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil is eucalyptol which is used often to promote normal respiratory function.

It is not surprising that this oil is used for all sorts of respiratory problems such as coughs, sinus headaches, nasal and chest congestion as well as mental and physical well-being.

Essential Oil Tips

Your sinuses are plugged?  Put a couple drops on your head (in the soft spot) and use a hair dryer to help with absorption. Make sure you have some Kleenex handy.

This aromatic oil comes from a tall evergreen grown mainly in Australia. Its blue-green narrow leaves are processed using steam distillation.

As a household remedy it has traditionally been used for illnesses like malaria, typhoid and cholera. It has also been used topically for skin conditions like burns, infections, ringworm and wounds.

The purifying properties in this oil have a calming effect on the mind and body so it has been used commercially in liniments, cough syrups, inhalants and ointments.

It is also a popular ingredient for toothpaste, soaps and detergents.

Eucalyptus is often used in public steam rooms because of its purification properties, pleasant aroma and health benefits.

Eucalyptus Oil can even be used to get rid of mice in your home.
