There is treasure to be desired and
oil in the dwelling of the wise. Proverbs 21:20
Essential oils are very useful for healing hemorrhoids because of their anti-inflammatory, analgesic and astringent properties. They are able to shrink hemorrhoids, numb the pain & itching, improve circulation and even stimulate the growth and elasticity of tissue.
Many oils also have antimicrobial and antiseptic properties which enable them to fight infections and other possible complications that may make your situation much more serious.
Hemorrhoids are actually swollen veins around your anus and rectum.
Hemorrhoids are often caused by too much pressure applied at times of constipation but pregnancy and other unknown factors may also play a part in their formation.
Hemorrhoids can make themselves known by bleeding during bowel movements. You may see some blood on your toilet paper, or experience some itching or pain.
Because of the inflammatory nature of hemorrhoids, essential oils with anti-inflammatory properties may be able to help treat them as well as numb the pain and itching that they cause.
Other oils improve circulation and have healing properties which help stimulate healthy tissue growth.
Oils with antimicrobial, antiseptic and astringent properties are also helpful in healing hemorrhoids and fighting possible complications which may create more serious problems if not addressed.
Many oils are also able to promote normal digestion and intestinal function which is helpful both to avoid the problem in the first place as well as stop aggravating the area while you are trying to heal.
note: Essential oils are not monitored by the FDA. I highly recommend you choose only clinical grade oils especially if you intend to consume them orally.
As always, however, I suggest that you defer to your health care professional if:
