Instructions / Cautions

Essential oils can work very well as a depression remedy for occasional bouts of anxiety or depression but if you are suffering from severe or frequent times of depression make sure you consult with a mental health professional.

When the subject of medication comes up you can mention that you prefer natural remedies rather than pharmaceutical drugs and discuss the possible use of essential oils to control your symptoms.

Many doctors are coming to terms with the effectiveness of oils and you may be surprised that they are willing to work with you in this matter.

When following the instructions for each of the oils listed below it is recommended that you do not wait until you are suffering from your depression. Get used to using the oils in good times when you are feeling energized and in good spirits. This process serves to anchor these "good" feelings by associating them with the oils being used.

I like using it in a steam room but you can also diffuse 20 drops into the air or inhale from a cotton ball placed inside your pillowcase at night.
