Eucalyptus Globulus, also known as Blue Gum Oil, is native to Australia but has been cultivated in California, Russia, Spain, Brazil, Portugal and China.
People would roll up the dried eucalyptus leaves and smoke them like a cigarette as a remedy for respiratory illnesses like bronchitis and coup. It has been used to treat fevers like malaria and typhoid as well as for skin irritations like burns and wounds.
Lately it has been commercialized for use in liniments, inhalants, ointments, toothpaste and cough syrups. It's also been used in soaps and toiletries and as food flavoring.

Rub a couple drops in your palms or on a tissue and breathe it in by putting it to your nose. This method can be very helpful to relieve coughs and headaches as well as nasal and chest congestion.
If you are an adult and are fighting a fever try applying the oil diluted to 50% directly to your temples. Do not do this for children.
